These Points Cannot Be Ignored When Doing a Good Job in Metal and Plastic Coating
Metal and plastic coating is a key process to improve the appearance texture of products and extend their service life, which is widely used in home appliances, automobiles, hardware and many other fields. Although the spraying process seems simple, it actually contains many details. A little carelessness may lead to problems such as paint peeling, bubbles and color difference, affecting product quality. To do a good job in metal and plastic coating, the following core points must not be ignored.
First of all, substrate pretreatment is the foundation and even more the top priority. For metal substrates, it is necessary to completely remove oil stains, rust and oxide layers on the surface, which can be achieved by grinding, pickling and other methods to ensure the surface is clean and rough and enhance the adhesion of the coating. Plastic substrates have a smooth surface and need plasma treatment or primer treatment to break the surface tension and avoid paint peeling. If the pretreatment is not in place, no matter how sophisticated the subsequent coating is, it is difficult to ensure the stability of the coating.
Secondly, the choice of coating must be suitable for the substrate and the use scenario. Metal and plastic have different material properties, so the corresponding coating types are also different. It is necessary to select special supporting coatings, while taking into account environmental protection and weather resistance. For example, products used outdoors need to choose coatings that are UV resistant, high and low temperature resistant; products in contact with corrosive environments should give priority to anti-corrosion coatings to avoid coating failure caused by mismatched coatings.

Furthermore, the construction process should be standardized and rigorous. During spraying, it is necessary to control the coating viscosity, spraying pressure and distance to ensure the coating is uniform in thickness, avoiding defects such as sagging and pinholes. In the curing link, it is necessary to strictly follow the coating requirements, control the temperature and time, and prevent incomplete curing, which will affect the hardness and adhesion of the coating. At the same time, the construction environment should be kept clean and dry to avoid dust and moisture mixing into the coating.
Finally, post-maintenance cannot be ignored. After the coating is completed, it is necessary to carry out a period of static maintenance, avoid moving or contacting sharp objects immediately to prevent the coating from being scratched or damaged. In daily use, it is also necessary to avoid contact with corrosive substances and clean regularly to extend the service life of the coating.
The core of metal and plastic coating is "detail control". Every link from substrate pretreatment to post-maintenance must not be careless. Only by strictly following the specifications and focusing on details can we create a coating effect with exquisite appearance and stable performance, and improve product competitiveness.
